Permanent Red Chromogen Kit
Alkaline phosphatase catalyzes the conversion of the colorless permanent red chromogen (color producing substance) into a colored end product. Permanent Red develops into a bright red precipitate at the site of target antigens, and is insoluble in alcohol and organic solvents. The substrate chromogen is the final step in the immunohistochemical (IHC) detection protocol and enables the antibody-antigen complex to be viewed under a light microscope.1–3
